Vortex

One of my mentors took me to this spot in Olympic National Park and opened my eyes to the fun of using a long lens to isolate small scenes among a vast expanse. One can not replace experiencing a place for oneself, but isolating a small portion of the cloud vapor running through the trees helps to express this magical display I felt. The scenes evolved and changed between clicks of the shutter along this mountainside and this was one of my favorites from that morning.
