On any given day you could find me on a mountainside at 5am waiting to capture a sunrise or treating a patient with chest pain in the Emergency Department. I turn to the outdoors with my camera to center myself after demanding shifts as an Emergency Physician. Being outside and trying to capture fleeting moments in nature is challenging, invigorating and rejuvenates my soul. It allows me to feel present, unplugged and exercises my creative eye to try and capture the feeling I have in a place to share with others. Like Emergency Medicine, photography is dynamic and a constant challenge while responding to different situations to act quickly to "get the shot." I hope my images invoke a brief pause as one escapes for a moment during a busy day.Â
